Wanaka Swimming Pool

We provided a precise set-out for the three-pool Wanaka Aquatic Centre and building located at Three Parks, Wanaka.

This involved preparing a 3D digital model of the earthworks which was then able to be uploaded into the excavators’ GPS Machine Control Systems.

We then provided high-accuracy building gridlines to ensure that the building was constructed in the correct location relative to the existing Wanaka Recreation Centre building.

The highest accuracy was critical due to the materials and construction methodology required.  We achieved this using our Robotic Total Station which precisely measures angles and distances.  Quality Assurance was provided at every stage.

At the completion of the project, the final task was to provide lane lengths to the nearest 1mm so that touchpad sensors could be installed, and the pool could be certified in accordance with FINA competitive facilities rules.
