The Coterra team have a long history of assisting landowners from all walks of life and parts of the lower South Island. Being a relatively small team of highly experienced land professionals, we are dynamic and are well placed to assist landowners with tailored service throughout a project.
Many landowners come to us with little or no idea about the potential of their land, about the rules that might apply, or the process required to achieve certain goals. Our small-scale, dynamic, and tailored approach means that we are skilled at recognizing our clients’ levels of understanding and adapting our service to suit.

The Coterra team work with property developers to achieve the very best possible outcomes for their developments and their ultimate business success. We provide in-depth knowledge of local infrastructure requirements, and use our established network of local consultants, and the rapport we have built with Council staff over many years, to provide complete project management services for developers. We can assist from the initial concept and feasibility stage right through to the issue of new titles, and we tailor our service according to individual developer requirements. We are always looking to build connections with new developers, and existing developers who are new to the region and who are seeking strong local partnership with our dynamic and well-established team.

Coterra surveyors are well-equipped to assist with various building-related services for builders and architects. The Coterra team use robust quality assurance systems to ensure that set-out, data capture and data delivery is completed with efficiency and accuracy. We have a focus on providing prompt service, understanding that building projects often have critical timeframes.
Typical services we provide for Builders and Architects:
Government agencies and utility services providers often require specialist surveying assistance as part of project delivery, and the Coterra team have extensive experience assisting these agencies/providers. We provide services to government agencies such as Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency with surveys for tenure review or road stopping/legalisation. Our team has also completed numerous projects for local authorities, and electrical and telecommunications contractors, to assist with design, construction and legal protection of new access corridors or network infrastructure. We always focus on delivering services for these agencies and utility services providers in a timely and accurate manner with excellent communication and reporting to all parties.
